    Asian Americans for Community Involvement, the American Cancer Society and Viet Hep B Free -- UCSF are sponsoring a free hepatitis B screening and teach-in on June 28 at O'Connor Hospital.
  • 'I want help now' (Press Democrat)
    Santa Rosa resident Bobby Peterson suffered a massive stroke 2 weeks after his 21st birthday in April 2008, and spent 29 days in the ICU at UC San Francisco Medical Center. As Bobby's care continues at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, his mother Teri is reaching out to friends and her community to help finance her son's care since their Medi-Cal reimbursements have exceeded the recommended duration of hospital stay.

  • UCSF launches academic Department of Emergency Medicine (UCSF News Office)
    The UCSF School of Medicine’s new Department of Emergency Medicine has welcomed its first group of medical residents with the official establishment of the academic department today (July 1). Michael Callaham, MD, is the first chair of the new department.
